AETHYR HABITS · Terms of use
Plain terms. No surprises.
This covers Aethyr Habits on iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac, and on Android and Wear OS, from the day each version is released. It is a separate app from the other Aethyr apps and has its own privacy policy. It’s written to be read, not just published: short, in order, nothing borrowed from a template that doesn’t apply.
For what the app collects and sends, read the Habits privacy policy. This page is about use, purchases and limits, not data.

Using Aethyr Habits
By installing or using Aethyr Habits you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the app. There’s no account to delete, because the app has none.
Aethyr Habits is a habit tracker for you to organise your own routines. It needs no sign-up and no email address.
Apple’s standard licence
On iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac the app is licensed to you under Apple’s standard end user licence agreement. Where these terms and Apple’s licence differ on the licence itself, Apple’s applies. On Android and Wear OS the app is used under these terms and Google Play’s own terms.
Age
Use the app if you are old enough to agree to a contract with the App Store or Google Play under their rules in your country. If you are under that age, a parent or guardian should set it up for you.
The free tier and purchases
Aethyr Habits is free to download. The free tier is yours to keep. Premium is optional, as a monthly subscription (£1.99), a yearly subscription (£19.99) or a one-time lifetime purchase (£39.99). Other countries are charged the equivalent in local currency, set by the store. The pricing page shows what each tier unlocks, and is the source of truth if this page and it ever disagree on a number.
Purchases are handled entirely by Apple’s App Store or Google Play, never by us. We never see your card details. Renewal, cancellation and refunds are handled by whichever store you bought through: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on iPhone, iPad or Mac, or Google Play → Payments & subscriptions on Android. We can’t issue a refund ourselves; the store that took the payment can.
No account, and no data collected by Aethyr
There is no Aethyr account and we run no server for the app. Aethyr does not collect, receive, sell or share what you put into it. Your habits live on your device; if you switch on your phone’s own backup or sync, that copy is held by Apple or Google under your account with them. Full detail is in the privacy policy.
Smart help
Smart help is optional. It uses your device’s own on-device intelligence where your device offers it: Apple Intelligence on Apple devices (where a longer answer is needed, Apple may use its own Private Cloud Compute, as the privacy policy explains) and Google’s on-device model on supported Android phones. It can be wrong, so check what it suggests before you accept it. The app always asks before it changes anything.
What Aethyr Habits is not
It is a tool for building routines. It is not a medical device and does not give medical advice. It is not a crisis service. Nothing in the app should be relied on as the sole basis for a medical, legal or financial decision.
Acceptable use
Use the app for yourself. Don’t use it to store or share anything unlawful, to misrepresent who you are to other people, or to try to reach anyone else’s information. Don’t reverse engineer, decompile or interfere with the app beyond what the store terms you downloaded it under allow.
Content you put in
What you type or save remains yours. We claim no ownership over it and don’t use it to train anything. You are responsible for its accuracy, the same as with a paper diary: the app stores what you tell it and reflects it back.
Availability and changes
We aim to keep the app working reliably, but like any software it can have bugs, and features can change, improve or occasionally be retired between versions. Not every feature is on every platform, and the app’s store listing says what is. Habits that depend on Apple’s or Google’s services, such as backup or sync, also depend on those services being available, which is outside our control.
Limits on our liability
The app is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss from using or being unable to use it. This isn’t meant to override any right you have under consumer law that can’t be excluded, and nothing here limits liability the law doesn’t allow us to limit, including death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
Governing law, publisher and contact
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Aethyr Habits is published by Aethyr ADHD Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17469084, registered office 52 Downsview, Sandown, PO36 9NY.
If we change these terms materially, the date at the top of this page changes with them. Questions: contact us.
