Terms of use · Four apps · Worldwide
Plain terms. No surprises.
This covers four apps: Aethyr ADHD for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch; Aethyr ADHD for Android; Aethyr Family for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch; and Aethyr Family for Android. Aethyr Habits is a separate app: it has its own terms and privacy policy. It's written to be read, not just published: short, in order, no part borrowed from a template that doesn't apply here.
For what we actually collect and send, read the privacy policy — this page is about use, accounts, households, subscriptions and limits, not data.

Using Aethyr
All four apps
By installing or using any Aethyr app you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app — there's no account to delete, since none of the apps has one.
Aethyr ADHD is for people managing their own attention. Aethyr Family is a household organiser for the adults and children in one home. Neither is a toy, but neither needs a lawyer to operate either — these terms exist mainly to say so plainly.
Age
All four apps
Aethyr ADHD is 17+ on the App Store's own rating and intended for people old enough to manage their own attention and medication records. Aethyr Family is designed to include children, through their own child share (see the Family privacy policy, chapter 09) — a child never signs up, never gets an account, and uses their own Apple ID or Google account, not one of ours.
Setting up a household — starting it, inviting adults, holding the budget and bills — is an adult's responsibility, and these terms are between us and that adult.
No account, so no password to protect — but the invite code matters
Aethyr Family
Aethyr Family has no account or password of its own. What stands in for one is the household invite code. Share the invite code like a house key, only with people you mean to have it. You can leave at any time, which removes your phone from the household; to lock out someone who held the code, delete the household and start a new one.
Subscriptions and payment
All four apps
Aethyr ADHD and Aethyr Family are both free to download, with optional paid subscriptions handled entirely by Apple's App Store or Google Play — never by us directly. We never see your card details. Full current pricing, trial length and what each tier unlocks is on the pricing page, and that page is the source of truth if this one and it ever disagree on a number.
Renewal, cancellation and refunds are handled by whichever store you subscribed through — Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on iPhone or iPad, or Google Play → Payments & subscriptions on Android. We can't issue a refund ourselves; the store that took the payment is the one that can.
In Aethyr Family, safety features are never part of a subscription check, on any platform — see the privacy policy's "safety is never behind the paywall" chapters for both iOS and Android.
What Aethyr is not
All four apps
Aethyr is a tool for organising your own life and your household's. It is not a medical device and does not give medical advice. It records what you tell it about medication and never advises on a dose, timing or interaction. It is not a crisis service — crisis numbers for your country are always one tap away in Settings, but the app itself does not monitor, intervene or notify anyone in an emergency beyond what you explicitly set up yourself (Aethyr Family's I need you and On my way, both covered in the privacy policy).
Nothing in Aethyr should be relied on as the sole basis for a medical, legal or financial decision.
Acceptable use
All four apps
Use Aethyr for yourself and your own household. Don't use it to store or share anything unlawful, to misrepresent who you are to another member of a household you've joined, or to try to access a household you haven't been invited into. Don't attempt to reverse engineer, decompile or interfere with the apps beyond what's allowed by the store terms you downloaded them under.
Content you put in
All four apps
Whatever you type, photograph or save into Aethyr remains yours. We don't claim any ownership over it, we don't use it to train anything (see the privacy policy), and the only copy that exists is the one on your device and, if you've switched it on, your own iCloud or Google backup of it.
You're responsible for the accuracy of what you put in — medication doses, budget figures, calendar entries — the same as you would be with a paper diary. Aethyr stores and reflects it back; it doesn't check it.
Availability and changes
All four apps
We aim to keep Aethyr working reliably, but like any software it can have bugs, and features can change, improve or occasionally be retired between versions — the privacy policy is kept in step with the apps as built, and so is this page. We'll never remove a safety feature from Aethyr Family and put it behind a paywall; that's a standing commitment, not a feature we reserve the right to change.
A household depending on iCloud or your household's sealed sync also depends on Apple's or Google's own services being up — that's outside anything we control.
Limits on our liability
All four apps
Aethyr is provided as-is. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from using or being unable to use the apps — this is standard for free and low-cost software and isn't meant to override any right you have under consumer law that can't be excluded.
Nothing here limits our liability for anything the law doesn't allow us to limit, including death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
Governing law, changes and contact
All four apps
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The data controller and publisher for all four apps is Aethyr ADHD Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17469084, registered office 52 Downsview, Sandown, PO36 9NY.
If we change these terms materially, the date at the top of this page changes with them. Questions about any of this: contact us.
